Bad Mommy, it didn't work

I was reading Bad Mommy's blog. I would post a link but I don't know how to do that but you can find her under my list of blogs that I read.
Anyway she posted a link to one of her other blogs where she talks about putting the twisty knobs on her daughter's bedroom door to keep her INSIDE the room. We did this with Xavier as well. Within two months he figured out how to work it. Someone posted a comment on how their child was able to figure out how to open the door. So she put duck tape around the knob. I was thrilled, there was hope!

This is what Xavier's knob looked like at 8:30PM

I don't know if you can tell but there are about 3 layers of tape on this bitch
Why do I do this you ask? Why would I want to lock my precious child in his room?

Every morning I wake up and do some pretty amazing gymnastic moves to avoid stepping on him. Just when I think it's safe and I'll be able to get ready for work all by myself. I hear it... "Hey, Mama... it's me Zabier, I'm up." and I die a little bit inside. Why? Because he's going to follow me round begging for poptarts and BRANKS (drink) while I'm barely able to function myself.

This is what I found at 8:32 PM

As you can see he is quite proud of himself.... and I was owned by a 3 year old yet again. Defeated, I decided to blog and ask for your help. Help me fellow mommy's of escape artists!

I don't know what you can do here. We tag team here and pass him around until we're both ready, but that's the luxury you have when you both work at the same place.

Can he climb over/take down baby gates yet? If not just try putting one in the door. He might throw a fit but it will be a fit contained to IN his room.

This is what people told me to do when we put Zack in a toddler bed, but we are not doing that until he's 12!! :-)

Baby gates, well Houdini figured those out at the age of 18 months. We had the kind that were anchored into the wall. He ripped them out.
